A lot of bridal magazines and idea sites focus on the more traditional wedding, meaning you may end up having a hard time getting inspiration for your perfect wedding or reception. Sunflowers
One thing that you can do is sub out all the regular flowers for sunflowers. There are all kinds of sunflowers out there, in a variety of colors. You can find them in everything from the large sunny yellow to a small flower that is so dark red that it is almost black. If you don't want to replace all your flowers with a bunch of sunflowers, you might want to use them for accents and mix in other non-traditional wedding flowers like daisies, coneflowers, and lilacs.
Embrace the Rustic
Another thing that you can do is to embrace a rustic feel. For example, you may want to choose a venue that has things like exposed beams and wooden floors. Or, if you want to have an outdoor wedding, you could choose to use an arbor that is made out of something like grape vines. The woody vines will give a very rustic vibe because they aren't perfect and smooth. An arbor or arch made out of grape vines can also help to add in a real romantic feel.
Mix and Match
One nice thing about a boho style wedding is that you can have a lot of fun mixing and matching. You can take ideas from various wedding themes and turn them into something that is really unique. For example, you can take the idea of having an elegant aisle runner for the bride to walk down and put it in your rustic venue instead. The juxtaposition will be shocking in a good way and will give your wedding a really individual feel.
